Privacy Policy
What we collect, and how we look after it.
This policy explains how Senior Home Safety handles personal information from our website and our clients. It matches Section 6 of the Service Agreement every client signs.

Who is responsible
Senior Home Safety is a trade name of Novo Industries Inc., 923 McKinnon Drive NE, Calgary, AB T2E 6A6. Privacy contact: Carl Christie, Director, info@novoseniorsafety.com, 587-907-3566.
What we collect
- From the website: the name, phone number, email address and message you enter in a contact or quiz form, and your answers to the home safety check if you choose to send them.
- From clients: contact details; photographs and measurements of the inside and outside of the home; notes on how the person living there moves through and uses the home, and on any mobility aids in use; and payment records.
Why we collect it
Only to reply to your enquiry, prepare and deliver your report, answer your questions about it, collect payment, and keep the business records the law requires. We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with contractors, suppliers, insurers or anyone else without your written instruction, unless the law requires it.
Photographs
- Photographs and measurements are used only to prepare your report.
- We ask that other household members and caregivers not appear in photographs. If someone does, tell us and we will delete or crop the image.
- Nothing is used in our marketing unless you say yes to the separate marketing question in your agreement. Even then, we never publish your name, address or anything that identifies the home without asking you again in writing.
How long we keep it

Where it is stored, and who helps us
We store information on encrypted, password-protected devices and business cloud accounts. These service providers hold or process some of it for us:
- Formspree, which receives the website contact and quiz forms
- Stripe, which processes card payments when you choose to pay by card
- Cloudflare, which hosts our online booking page and stores booking records, signatures and signed agreements
- Resend, which sends our booking confirmations, receipts and reminders
- Google Calendar, where booked visits are scheduled
- OpenSign, our electronic signature service
- Zoho Books, for receipts and bookkeeping
- Our email provider and our cloud storage provider
Some of these providers store or process data on servers outside Canada, so that data may be accessible to courts and law enforcement under the laws of those countries. Contact us for the current list and how each one handles information.
This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. It also uses Google Analytics and Google Ads, on this site and on our booking site (book.novoseniorsafety.com). They set cookies in your browser to count visits, see which pages are used, and tell Google when someone sends a form, taps our phone number, or books and pays online, so we can see which of our ads and pages are useful. Google reports these to us as totals; it does not tell us who you are. We never send Google your name, email, phone number, address, your answers to the home safety check, or your booking details beyond the booking number and amount. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or with Google's opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, without affecting anything else on the site.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent on reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent before your report is finished means we cannot complete the work. Send requests to info@novoseniorsafety.com; we answer within 45 days.
If something goes wrong
If personal information in our care is lost or accessed without authorization and there is a real risk of significant harm to you, we will report it to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta and tell you directly, without unreasonable delay, as Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act requires.
